Distance: Swim 400m  Run 5k

As part of the white air 'have a go'

ethos, The Brighton Aquathlon offers a course and distance that is accessable to the relative novice looking to perhaps complete their first outdoor event yet is a stiff enough challenge for those wishing to compete in a race.

A 400m sea swim will test for those that are looking to gain every second, before a 5 kilometre run twisting turning 2 lap circuit around the grassy knoll, between the Dukes mound beach and the marina directly opposite the regency Sussex Square. The circuit keeps everyone in eyeshot of their quarry and allows friends and family to track the progress of their loved ones, or gaze out to sea should the tension prove too much.

A WET SUIT is a must for the sea swim. Although water temperature is likely to be fine (better than early summer) air temp more variable. The layout of the swim course will take into account the prevailing conditions on the day and in the event of rough weather we have the contingency of the marina should conditions prove to be unsuitable.

The run will finish as close to the white air event as possible, where a triathlon village will allow you to meet clubs, coaches, purchase end of season/ clearance triathlon gear and hopefully take in the wide range of other activities on offer at the festival
